I started sewing as a child, and have now been reupholstering furniture for 25 years. I love reupholstering. The transformation of something that may have seen better days into a lovely quality piece of furniture really makes me feel great about the work I do. There is also something to be said about seeing people express their personalities in their homes and the furniture they choose.

I was taught the art of upholstering from a master craftsman upholsterer. He taught me his philosophy that each job must be tailored specifically to the individual – their needs, expectations and the setting. I can honestly say I have held true to that philosophy in every piece of work I have completed.

I know I can offer real value to people by reupholstering the furniture they are already comfortable with and enjoy. And to know these people are getting much better quality than new, cheaply made furniture satisfies me even more.
